Meditations


Here is a selection of Meditations and Guided Visualisations suitable for beginners and the more advanced who are seeking a new meditation experience. You can do them with a friend, a small group, or record them onto a tape for yourself to relax and listen to.

Meditation is an essential skill for developing your inherent psychic gifts. It also has wonderful benefits for the mind and the body, including relaxation, mental focus, inner healing and repose.

Remember to: prepare your Space (ensuring that you won't be disturbed), and sit upright comfortably; relax your body; regulate your breathing; allow any distracting thoughts to drift away-don't force it...
let it happen gently; call on the Universe or Divine Spirit to help and protect you, and visualise Protection and Light surrounding you and your Aura (blue, white or gold Light are the best colours for psychic Protection) - this will further remove any mental or emotional distractions from within you; then allow yourself to become inwardly still and centred before meditating or visualising.

On finishing your Meditation: return slowly, concentrating on your breathing; feel yourself becoming more solid and connected with your physical body; feel the Earth 'grounding' you beneath your feet, or imagine deep Etheric 'roots' stabilising you; imagine your Aura and Chakras closing down like flowers or dimming lights; and mentally wrap yourself around completely in a deep blue velvet Cloak of Protection, with a hood that covers your head and face-this Angelic Protection seals in all of your energies and helps you to return to normal; then return to normal consciousness, move around gently, and write down any unusual or inspiring insights you may have received.

It's a good idea to have something to eat and drink after your Meditation to 'earth' your energies fully. If you still feel a little 'woolly', try doing some basic chores or vacuuming. Ordinary activities are a great way to come back to everyday reality. Enjoy your connection to the Higher Energies!

OPENING YOUR CHAKRAS

This is the method for opening and closing the Chakras and the Aura that is used in many of the Divinate Workshops and Short Courses. It may be practised as a Meditation in itself, as it incorporates the Golden Healing Energy which heals, replenishes and strengthens the Aura; and it also keeps the Chakras balanced and energised, allowing the energies of the physical and subtle bodies to flow smoothly, thus encouraging health and well-being.

It may also be used as a preparation for other more advanced forms of Guided Meditation or Healing.


Relax.   Make sure you're sitting comfortably.

Call upon the Universe or Divine Spirit to help and protect you (you may call upon any Divine Name or Image that you feel the most connection with, or indeed on a more general Source of strength, such as the Universe, or the inner power of the human spirit).

Concentrate on your breathing... you are breathing in peace, relaxation...

You are breathing out any stress and tension from every part of your being...

Feel and see the tension being released, like smoke, into the air...

See it dissolving away, leaving you more and more at peace...

Allow your breath to warm your body...breathe out all remaining tension...

Breathe in peace and healing... breathe peace and healing into every part of your being...

See or feel your protective Aura surrounding you...
See or feel it being filled and surrounded by warm Blue or Gold Light...

Feel secure and peaceful...

When you are ready, see your Etheric Roots stretching from the soles of your feet deep into the centre of Mother Earth. Feel these Roots anchoring you to the ground, feel them drawing up all the loving strength and energy that you need from Mother Earth...

Take time to absorb all of the healing Earth energies up through your legs and into the whole of your body...
you are feeling stronger and more solid...

Now see a radiant Column of Light descending from the Highest heights above you to deep within the centre of Mother Earth beneath you, surrounding you and your Aura with Protection, keeping you balanced and aligned as you meditate...

Now gently open your Chakras. Picture each of them as beautiful flowers, opening up their petals to radiate a crystal-clear coloured light...
from the intense Red of the Base Chakra (at the base of your spine), centre of the life-force...

Upwards through the vibrant Orange of the Sacral Chakra (just below your navel), centre of the creative self... the dazzling Yellow of the Solar Plexus Chakra (just beneath your ribs), centre of confidence... the emerald Green and warm Pink of the Heart Chakra (in the centre of your chest), centre of love... the brilliant azure Blue of the Throat Chakra (in the middle of your neck), centre of Divine communication... the shimmering Violet of the Third Eye Chakra (above the bridge of your nose), centre of Expanding Vision... to the pure white Crown Chakra (just above the top of your head), centre of the Eternal...

Now a shaft of warm, liquid Golden Energy pours down within your Column of Light through your Crown Chakra, filling your body and Heart, and pouring out through your feet into your Roots... this energy keeps you balanced and aligned as you work in Spirit...

Focus once more on your breathing. You are relaxed and energised. Your mind is receptive and focussed... you may bathe in this Healing Golden Light for as long as you wish.

When you have absorbed what you need, remember to close down your Chakras once more, and reseal your Aura with Protection. This is explained in the following exercise...

CLOSING YOUR CHAKRAS

When you are ready to begin closing your Chakras, relax and concentrate on your breathing.

Feel your Roots drawing you down fully into your physical body, connecting you with Mother Earth.

Know that the Golden Healing Energy in your body aligns your Chakras and helps the wisdom and healing that you have received to integrate...

Now begin to slowly and firmly shut down your Chakras. Move from the top downwards, ensuring each flower is closed firmly, all light sealed up within it.

Begin by closing the white Crown Chakra...
seeing the light become dimmer, the flower petals closing tighter and tighter, until they are tight shut...

Work downwards. Next close the Violet Third Eye Chakra... then close the azure Blue Throat Chakra...next close the Green and Pink Heart Chakra... then shut down the Yellow Solar Plexus Chakra...and the Orange Sacral Chakra...

...finally close down your Base Chakra, the intense Red light dimming, the flower closing tighter and tighter until shut. Mentally check once more that all of your Chakras are tightly closed.

Next see a deep blue cloak of heavy lined velvet hanging beside you. This is the Blue Cloak of Protection which will protect you and seal in your energies.

Mentally pick the cloak up and wrap it completely around you, letting the hood completely cover your head and face. The Cloak of Protection is wrapped completely around you and seals your Aura up in complete safety, hiding your Light.

Thank the Universe or Divine Spirit for helping and protecting you.

Return fully to normal consciousness, feeling wide awake and refreshed. Have something to eat and drink as soon as you can. This will 'ground' you fully.

WATERFALL CLEANSE

A very powerful cleansing technique, the Waters carry away anything that is negative, extraneous or excessive within the auric field, leaving one deeply cleansed and purified. This technique is the equivalent of a psychic hosing down. There will certainly be a need to close and seal the Aura afterwards; and possibly to replenish any auric energy diminished during the cleansing process with the Golden Healing Energy, before subsequently closing and sealing the Aura.


Relax.   Breathe gently and regularly.

Call upon the Universe or Divine Spirit to help and protect you.

Picture yourself standing in the midst of a vast and powerful Waterfall. The rushing Waters are shining, clear-white and strong, the sound pounding your ears.

For a gentler Waterfall Cleanse (more suitable for Regular Practice) if you prefer, imagine a constant pure stream of gentle, smoothly flowing clear water over and around you.

All the Waters flow over and through you, straight down into the centre of the Earth. The important thing in this Meditation is that you really see, hear and feel the Waters in your mind and around your body as much as you can.

Feel the Waters pouring swiftly over every part of your physical body, cleansing you as they flow. Then feel them flowing through your physical body, down inside your head and neck, shoulders and back, arms and hands, trunk, legs and feet, and out through your Roots.

Then feel the Waters flowing through your Chakras, cleansing their centres, front and back... then through all of your auric field, carrying away any blocked or stuck energies and brightening all of the colours and textures within and around your Aura.

Feel yourself becoming purer and lighter, shining and polished like a clear tumbled stone... feel the Waters cleansing and polishing the outer surface of your Aura... feel the Waters mending any tears or gaps in the auric field.

Breathe in the Waters, breathing in peace and purity... breathe out any resistances and tension.

After you feel you are cleansed completely, allow the feeling... the sounds... and then the image of the Waters to fade away from around you, leaving you exhilarated. You are deeply cleansed and purified. Give thanks to the Waters for their aid.

Now ask that the Golden Healing Energy to flow into your Aura. Feel its soothing liquid warmth filling every part of your body. Feel the Golden Light like a wave of Divine Love filling up and shining in every part of you, inside and out. See the Golden Light energising your Aura, feel it strengthening your Chakras. Feel it rippling out around you in all directions and shimmering within every part of your mind, body, emotions and spirit.

When you feel warm, replenished and fully embraced by the Light, thank the Universe or Divine Spirit for the Golden Light.

Now close down your Aura and your Chakras. Work through each of your Chakras one by one, from the Crown Chakra down to the Base Chakra, closing each centre like a flower until it is firmly shut.

Check that they are closed completely, and then seal your Aura with the blue velvet Cloak of Protection.

Thank the Universe or Divine Spirit for helping and protecting you.

Return fully to normal consciousness, feeling wide awake and refreshed. Have something to eat and drink as soon as you can. This will 'ground' you fully.

MORNING PRANA

A stimulating and cleansing tonic for the physical and subtle bodies, which anyone can benefit from with regular use; perform the Meditation at least two or three times a week, and see for yourself!


Go out to somewhere peaceful and green in the very early morning, just before or around sunrise. It could be the local countryside, park, common, or your own back garden.

Call upon the Universe or Divine Spirit to help and protect you.

Stand up straight, feet shoulder length apart and focus on the dewy atmosphere around you. All around you, swirling up from within the Earth to a height of six or seven feet, are the natural energies of earth-prana, chi or Etheric energy. You may visualise it or see it as a white or silver-green vapour, lighter than air or mist, swirling around the grass and the leaves of the trees, as they exude this pure energy of the morning.

Visualise your Etheric Roots connecting you to the Earth beneath your feet.

Allow your breathing to become deep and regular, but always breathe gently and steadily. It is important to avoid hyperventilation.

Now, with your in-breath, draw in the fresh pranic forces through your Chakras, Etheric Roots, the surface of your Aura and into your lungs. Feel it filling your body with light, clarity and freshness. On your out-breath, expel any stale energy or sleepiness, allowing it to be drawn deep into the Earth. Keep your breathing cycle steady and rhythmical. Breathe with Nature, and the Green Mother Earth. Allow this breathing to draw your mind into the natural environment.

Repeat this cycle of breathing ten times, then relax. Allow the fresh prana to merge with your body and become integrated. Allow yourself this time of peace and oneness with everything around you.

If you wish to repeat the exercise, do so after a pause, and for a maximum of three sets. Feel free to combine this with Chi Gong or Tai Chi movements if you wish, or any other gentle movement that feels right for you at the time.

When you have completed your Pranic Breathing, clench your fists and place them on your belly.

Give a small bow, sealing in your new energies and saluting the bounty of the Mother Earth.

Thank the Universe or Divine Spirit for helping and protecting you.
